If ADHD is part of your life, you probably know what works for a while, what falls apart under pressure, and what you wish could run more smoothly.
Together, we’ll look at what you already understand about ADHD and what may still be worth exploring.
In our ADHD coaching Scarborough sessions, we’ll look at the executive functioning challenges showing up in your daily life in Scarborough, at work, at home, and inside the responsibilities that come with leadership. We’ll identify specific strategies that are evidence-based and shaped around your own excellent knowledge of yourself.
We’ll work on creating systems that support daily functioning, time management, working memory, focus, motivation, distractions, and follow-through. When support matches the way your brain works, change can begin to feel realistic.
Yes, in more than one way!
Professionally, I was trained by a clinical team to support people with ADHD who were at serious risk of failing. That work sparked my deep interest in understanding ADHD, how ADHD shows up in real life, and what helps change last.
I also served as Director of Student Success at a local college, where I completed needs assessments and helped create programs with excellent results.
Personally, I parented children with ADHD and supported my spouse of 40 years as he came to understand his own untreated adult ADHD. We learned so much together.
This work is close to my heart. I know many people with ADHD are capable, committed and ready for change, even when they feel overwhelmed, easily distracted, or worn down by low self esteem.
For executives, the stakes can feel even higher. Adult ADHD coaching gives us a focused place to understand what is happening and find a better way forward.
New clients often ask me : “How did they do it?”
Usually, what they are really asking is, “Can I do this too?”
They worry that other successful people have more discipline, more confidence, or something else they are missing.
So what helps?
It helps to show up honestly. It helps to be open, and to practice between sessions, even imperfectly.
When the work between sessions does not happen, we do not turn that into failure. We turn it into useful information. We look at what got in the way, what kind of plan might make follow-through easier next time, and develop strategies based on what needs to adjust.
That might mean smaller steps, practical organizational tools, or a closer look at the ADHD patterns behind avoidance, urgency, the last minute rush, or difficulty starting.
My successful clients are honest about what scares them. They are willing to be all in.
They may not be confident when we begin, but they build confidence before we say good-bye.
We begin by identifying the areas you most want to improve, so you can see progress as we go.
Each session starts with what matters most in your real life, whether that is a meeting, a difficult conversation, home routines, commitments, or daily responsibilities.
I listen closely, ask useful questions, and offer resources when you want them. Together, we work on self awareness, self compassion, self regulation, daily routines, personal strengths, and ways to stay organized.
If you are looking for adult ADHD coaching in Scarborough, Ontario, I offer executive ADHD coaching that helps you build structure, improve follow-through, and move forward with more confidence and practical tools that you can use in your day to day life.
Together, we create a learning environment where you succeed beyond what you think you can do.
With ADHD, weak executive functioning makes it very difficult to actually do what you know you want to do including making life affirming changes.
I’ve created this 12 part video series master class just for you — so you can live strategically when your brain doesn’t want to.
You’re the driver. Not your ADHD.
